As you read on the introduction page, we manufacture our patented two-wheeled carts designed for and used in all kinds of recreational environments. The primary focus and reason for the innovation was to carry all that stuff that we all carry to the beach easily and in one trip. Upon making no less than four trips to and from the beach house to the beach, our inventor thought, “There has to be an easier way to get this stuff to the beach than making multiple trips.” So he started looking. It became quickly apparent that there were products on the market that could help carry stuff but there were some flaws. They were not easily pushed or pulled through the sand, they were made of corrosive material, and they were not useful once arriving at the destination. That is when he came up with the idea to make a cart that would be more than just a cart to carry stuff and would hold up to the harsh environment of the coast. He designed several iterations before coming up with what you saw on the introduction page. As people saw what he had made, they began to ask, “Where can I get one?” and Coastal Cartworks was born.
A lot has changed for Coastal Cartworks since those first carts were made. People have continued to come up with and asked for different uses for the cart and we have listened. As you will see, we manufacture fishing, gun, and utility carts as well. These two-wheeled carts utilize the same design principle as the original: simple to use and works.
Why does everyone want one of these carts? Just like every great invention; they are simple to use and work. The carts are useful for transporting ALL of your gear, lightweight, well-balanced, and durable. Matter of fact, we have seen young children pulling them full of gear out to the beach or sporting events with a loaded cooler, etc. Remember these are pull carts. Some other great features are: the ability to fold and fit into a closet or trunk and they roll easily through a standard doorway. Due to the design, the cart is easily transported up stairs, across docks, and beach accesses. Now for the best thing (at least to me) that the inventor came up with: once you get to your destination, you can lay the cart over onto the pull handle so the cart transforms into a support for the integrated table top and a beach umbrella. The table top is food grade poly and even has drink holders. Other special patented design features are: built-in surf fishing rod and spike holders, storage pockets, cooler and beach chair transport, and there is a lockable folding feature for safety.
